I am an instagrammer!! Are you?

On my previous post, I was talking about what instagram is and how it is trending. In this post I would like to share how I got influenced by instagram and how I started using it. When I got my first tablet computer, I downloaded instagram app as soon as I saw a photo shared through it by my close friend on Facebook. I started using the app by clicking people and everything I could find interesting around me. I found instagram better than the other applications such as pixlr express and picsart because many number of people followed instagram. And of course I liked it because I wanted people to notice my photography skills. I found that photos clicked in instagram looks so great when clicked against the light source. The image gets more richer and darker when the filters are used.

We live in a new era, the era of Applications, where every little task is aided by an App. Messaging, virtual instruments, Maps, Games, Shopping or photography and editing, All these can be done in matter of minutes using respective applications. These Applications are widely supported by various devices.

Instagram is one such Application used for taking pictures and videos and using in built filter effects that give the image a classy look. It was first started in October 2010 designed by Kevin systorm and Hike Krigger. It was originally made for Apple devices. Later on it was made available for android devices as well. Instagram became popular because it was a free software, Easily available in app store. Instagram now has over 100 million users and it has the ability to share images on facebook, twitter, tumbler and flicker. Instagram itself is a social network also. It permits the users to follow you and like your photographs. Instagram has become a trending application and we find people sharing various things they come across their daily life, whether it may be a nice dish, a beautiful flower, or an old bicycle they come across in the street. Capturing these images and looking the difference after filters are used brings great joy as the images appear more lively then before. My Experience on Windows 8

Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft windows, a timely of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use of personal computers. Its user interface has been changed to make it better suited for touch screen input in addition to the traditional mouse, keyboard and pen input.

              Microsoft un reviled new Windows8 features and improvement on September 13, 2011 in the build developer conference. Microsoft also released a developer preview build (build 8102) of  windows 8 for the developer community to download and start working with. This developer preview includes tools for building “metro style apps” such as Microsoft window SDK. For metro style apps, Microsoft visual studio11.

 New features

  Windows 8 will contain a new user interface based on Microsoft’s design language named metro .with the new change, the start menu was replaced in favor for the new start screen, where there are files that contain shortcuts to applications, metro style application and updating files, similar to windows phone.

      A new authentication method allows users to sketch in three different places over the picture to login instead of typing password.

   Another features expected to be introduced on windows8 USB 3.0 support.Windows8 will come Windows store, online market place for buying, selling and advertising applications.

 Windows8 can be from a new USB connected drive, such as a flash drive this feature is called Togo.

   Windows8 comes with two new recovery functions. Refresh and reset. With both make a complete restore than a reinstallation. The former keeps all the setting and a file of user interact and only reverses all changes to Windows files to its original state while removing all installed programs applications.

       There is no start menu in Windows8, but you can search as if it was still there. Hit the start button on keyboard and start typing. The results you see on the screen are for application, so you don’t have how to go swiping through the files to launch programs.

      You can pick apps that you can search directly here, including social and music apps and Internet Explorer which searches on Bing.My favorite was the socialite app for facebook and Tweet@rama for twitter. The following pictures are the screen shots of these apps.

       Internet Explorer to runs in Windows8 metro interface as well as in the desktop. Few changes are added like the address bar on the bottom and the new tab. Launch on the top.

     Windows8’s multi touch on screen keyboard is a big improvement over what you get in windows7. It is also as an excellent and to correct for common mistakes.

   Multitasking is lot more easily on Windows8. We can pause multiple tasks to speed up the required process. This is new features available on Windows8.

My study on Intel i7 vs. Amd Phenom II

Intel and AMD are both vast established companies in today’s computing technologies. Producing the best processors and motherboards. These two companies are the first thing people can think of while buying a new computer. Well there is a huge difference between the products manufactured by these companies. Both of them posses good as well as bad properties. Let us compare the new processor released by these companies.

2010 was given a bright entry on the release of Intel’s i series processors. Intel released its new I core processors. I3, i5 and i7 were the model introduced. Each of these processors has unique features. While i3 processors are dual core, i5 processors are available both in dual core and quad core (4cores). I7 are high performance processors with 4 cores. The speciality of these processors is the turbo boost technology. These features are used to speed up the process. Where as amd processors are known for its speed and graphics performance. These processors gives high performance in gaming. These are efficient processors.

Comparing two products in particular, lets consider the intel i7 980X and amd phenom 2 1090t. Intel i7 has 4 cores where as the amd phenom 2 1090t has 6 cores. Which means amd phenom 2 is faster than Intel’s i7. One more cores we have, the more processes that can be run and in higher speed.

Another difference is the cache memory Intel i7 has 1.5mb of L2 cache and 12mb of L3 cache whereas amd offers 3mb L2 cache and 6mb of L3 cache. On chip well this can make a lot of difference L3 cache is very important one higher the L3 cache the better is the speed. So here we can say Intel offers higher L3 cache which is better compared to amd. Another feature is the ‘HYPER THREADING’ technology introduced in the Intel processors i7 offers L2 threads and and amd offers 6 threads so this is another drawback in amd processors where it might work a little slower than an Intel i7. Well however the amd processors beat the i7 processors by achieving speeds upto 4.2 GHz. where i7 gives 3.33 GHz. Intel runs on a 32 nanometer board and amd runs on 45 nanometer board so amd is smaller and better than Intel. Well coming to read and write speed, the triple channel memory has attained a higher mark in Intel i7 compared to the amd phenom2 so we can say amd is slower in read and write compare to i7.

 Intel runs on 130W, where AMD requires 125W which is better and energy efficient. Intel supports only DDR3 where as an AMD can support both DDR3 as well as a DDR2.Which is an advantage if you have a DDR2 RAM laying around well coming to the cost. An AMD is available for 300$ and an Intel i7 costs 999$ .So which do you think is betters AMD rights well is saves you 800$.Well if we want a good processor good enough against an i7 we can obliviously choose an AMD.Because it is cheaper.

          However choosing a processor mainly depends on the needs of the person. If he wants a computer for editing videos he can go for i7 and if he wants for gaming he can choose an AMD. Only thing is AMD is good enough just as the i7 but cost wise we can say AMD is better. But performance wise Intel is the best. So we can say both of these processors have drawbacks as well as good exiting features.

I'm a programmer

Well today i had my java lab exams... well my program somehow got executed :) . But had to face the viva.
well the question mam put up was simple... tell me d basic syntax of a Java program.. i had no clue.. :p. well i  looked at the lecturer and said, "Mam,can i write it and show to you??" Permission was granted and this is what i wrote down..

D BEST PART... GOT 2 MARKS FOR THIS STUNT
